I love the folding warbler guide and shorebird guide. I need them at this point in my birding apprenticeship. Sadly, there is no comparable sparrow guide to help me figure out which little brown bird i am looking at. However, I have found a few helpful sparrow identification pictures.

Finally, from the whimsy of google – a search on “folding guide for sparrows” turned up how to make an origami bird. And now that we are on paper crafts, the New York Times gave instructions for a murder of paper crows.

You’re not alone, Donna. Those little brown jobs are always a problem for me as well. Thank you for pointing out those guides.
