Snowy Owls are showing up, most recently on the breakwater across from Discovery World. Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has a great list of viewing tips and info about these beauties.

Great Horned Owls are beginning courtship now in December. They can begin nest building and breeding as soon as January. Right now the male and female can be heard calling to each other from dusk. The short-eared owls will continue at Killsnake and perhaps be found farther south too.
