They’re coming!

Below are a few sites that track bird migration helpful for planning outings and timing when to put out the oranges and hummingbird feeders.

Birdcast Combining weather surveillance data and tools to track and predict bird movement. US maps provide a big picture look at migration. To check local conditions use Birdcast alert to get the local migration forecast.

For tracking an individual species return, eBird’s Habitat Regional Charts may be useful.

Hummingbird Central focuses on the northward movement of just hummingbirds. The red icons are our own ruby-throated hummer.

Journey North tracks the movement of monarchs and orioles.
