Christmas Bird Count (CBC) is one of the longest running citizen science efforts. Birders count everything seen and heard within a 15-mile diameter circle over the course of 24 hours. There are two counts going on in Milwaukee County. These are organized counts – everyone must get a location designation from the respective organizer.
Schlitz Audubon organizes a circle in the northern end of Milwaukee county on Saturday, December 18. Contact Norma (robnz@att.net) for Feeder Watchers and Zoe Finney (zfinney@schlitzaudubon.org) for Field Observers. If there are questions about the count circles, contact Norma.
Wehr Nature Center coordinates a Christmas Bird Count covering the southern portion of Milwaukee county on Sunday Dec 19 from 9-4. Contact Carol Howard for information and an assignment in the southern circle, carol.howard@milwaukeecountywi.gov

Wehr is in charge of the southern circle.

Donna,
No December meeting of the Noel J Cutright bird club. (No longer called Riveredge bird club since Noel died in 2010? Or so.) We do CBCs instead. Had a nice zoom meeting last night with Tom Prestby talking about IBAs (Important Bird Areas). To join this bird club contact. Carl Schwartz at cschwartz3@wi.rr.com
