No Sunday Birders

Happy Holidays! I hope the rest of 2022 is filled with love, cookies and birds! Maybe I’m projecting here…

We will not have any scheduled bird walks until January 8.

This weekend is the Christmas Bird Count. You can still get an assignment, contact one of the two Milwaukee coordinators. See more in this post.

On Sunday January 1, the Noel J Cutright has a birding morning followed by lunch at Riveredge Nature Center. Please RSVP to Carl Schwartz by December 28 – details below

When every bird is a new bird!

The Noel J. Cutright Bird Club is inviting members of all the Ozaukee Washington Birding Coalition organizations to participate in our traditional January 1st field trip searching for the first birds of the year.

And then to join us for a sub sandwich lunch at NOON in the Riveredge Nature Center barn. We’ll have chips, soda/water and cookies for dessert as well.

We need to take a head count so please RSVP to Carl Schwartz at cschwartz3@wi.rr.com  by Dec. 28 or sooner.

  1. When and where does the field trip begin?  At 7:30 a.m. on Jan. 1 at Coal Dock Park just north of the power plant in downtown Port Washington. (This is a change from past years when we met at the marina boat ramp.)
  2. What is the weather is bad? If we need to cancel this event we’ll send an email the day before to all those who have registered with Carl.

Any other questions?  Contact Carl Schwartz
at cschwartz3@wi.rr.com or at 414-416-3272

That’s it! Get outside – find birds, bugs, plants and have fun! And take a friend. Let’s give other the gift of birding.
