Sunday Jan 29 at 8:30 am at Gordon Park
2828 N Humboldt Rd Milwaukee
Due to the timing of the snow and the expected difficulty in driving and walking the trails, we are cancelling Jan 29. Please join us at Gordon Park Sunday Feb 5
It is supposed to be very cold in the single digits. If that is the case we will postpone a week to February 5th. Check your email and/or the blog Saturday night. We will post an update by 5pm

As we bird we will walk by the ruins of the Gordon Park Bathhouse, read more about it here: https://milwaukeenotebook.com/2014/07/14/amid-the-ruins-of-gordon-parks-bathhouse/ What an amazing place to have spent a summer day.

Some of you may remember a few years ago we went to under-birded Milwaukee County parks to document what was there contributing to the Parks wildlife data. We will be doing that again this year. Gordon Park is first on our list.
And if we do go Sunday, and if we do get really cold, we can warm up at Colectivo at 2999 Humboldt. Katie also found a number of other neighborhood spots we could check out:
A great Italian Deli Scardina Specialties 715 E Locust St. takeout only (great take home to bake pizza)
For all your lumber and hardware needs, Blifferts is 1014 E Chambers
For a little morning music, Florentine Opera Company is in the neighborhood too 205 W Highland Ave.
Tuesday through Friday satisfy your chocolate needs at Burke Candy on 3840 N Fratney.
And for happy hour birding adventures, stop by Black Husky, The Gathering Place, Amorphic Beer, or Company Brewing. And then of course, we would have to go dancing at Mad Planet. I realize none of these are available Sunday morning and partaking Saturday night would make Sunday birding a little more difficult.
