Sunday, Oct 22 8am at Lakeshore SP north end. Recent eBird list
A number of ducks, sparrows and snow buntings have been seen in the waters and among the rocks. Refresh your duck ID. And we checked – no events there Sunday morning.

Last Week:
Last week’s walk at the Magic Hedge and into Lake Park started slowly. Heard a Red-Bellied from across Lincoln Memorial Drive yet very little action in the shrubs bordering Linwood Water Treatment Plant. Soon a Merlin flying along the north side of the hedge explained some of the quiet. And a bit later, two interacting Cooper’s Hawks closer to the lake explained the rest. It was quiet. We headed up into Lake Park. It was immediately birdier. Finches, sparrows and kinglets were all around. We had nice looks at the Purple Finch pictured below.
